The Fundamentals

Bringing The Positive Back To Sales

Bringing the positive back to sales
To ultimately be successful, a sales professional personal purpose needs to be in alignment with the company’s purpose. It is up to each individual to discover for themselves what their purpose is and how well it aligns with the company’s purpose.
Hire people who want to be salespeople, who have a sense of purpose, and who are constantly looking to improve their craft. In a job as hard as Sales, a real commitment to the profession is essential for growth.
A salesperson should look to other professions for examples. What is a doctor’s purpose, for example? They have the goal of helping people, and even have an oath they take and follow.
Salespeople are, in fact, tremendously important to our society. First, they strengthen the middle class, which is vital in today’s economy and which brings peace and prosperity. Second, they provide help to prospects of any productProduct Product refers to anything (an idea, item, service, process or information) that meets a need or a desire and is offered to a market, usually but not always at a price. or service.

When a salesperson and a prospect have agreed on a winning situation for both of them, they have created a great foundation. This can be seen on a larger scale, where individuals, groups, or governments who have agreed to trade or purchase goods from one another cannot simultaneously be in conflict.

The entertainment industry and popular culture have portrayed salespeople as downright greedy, only in it for the money. However, money flows when the salesperson focuses first on their core mission of helping and in some ways serving the prospect.
A great salesperson creates a win-to-win situation, meaning a win both for the salesperson and the customer. Win-win outcomes bring success not just to the salesperson and customer but also to the company, their community, and society at large.

Finding That Meaning

Some people seem to think that finding meaning in life is difficult or needs to result in some grandiose outcome. The reality is that people find meaning in many different ways — to be the best parent or to diligently serve clients, for example — in other words, it can be whatever you want it to be, you just need to identify it and name it.

Focus on what you enjoy and what you are good at because that usually brings the most satisfaction and meaning. And companies should focus on developing core strengths and not fixating on perceived weaknesses as many do.

Do what you love doing, and do it well. Go there, and you will find your meaning.
